Hellmann Helps Set The Ball Rolling For SA’s Future Hockey Stars

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics strives to make a difference not only in our own industry, but by going beyond what is expected.

We are always looking to invest in the future and when one of our automotive customers, ATE Brakes, informed us of the opportunity to sponsor a hockey team that is making waves, we jumped at the opportunity.

St Benedict’s College has put together a formidable team, and recently won the Chairman’s Trophy as they look to carve out a big reputation.

The school also recently roped in Mark Sanders, the former head coach of Maropeng Cavemen, which was the team that won the inaugural Professional Hockey League that was televised on SuperSport.

Having already overseen immense talent in the sport, he was confident of what St Benedict’s College could go on to achieve.

“The school is evolving to become one of the front runners in Gauteng hockey and hopefully one of the key role players in South African Schools Hockey,” he said.

Vino Nunco (COO, Hellmann South Africa) appreciates the opportunity presented to Hellmann by our customer, and hopes that the sponsorship will provide a big boost to the sport going forward as, unlike mainstream sports such as soccer and rugby, hockey does not get much funding.

Hellmann is proud to be involved in helping our potential sports stars realise their dreams and hopes to see them making the country proud at the highest level in years to come.
